Honoring the life of Cynthia P. Miller (Nene).

On April 3, 2026, my world changed forever. I received a call from my father in the Philippines with news I never imagined I would hear—my mom, Cynthia (Nene), had passed away.

Over the past year, my mom had been quietly and bravely fighting through so much. She struggled with asthma and, more recently, endured a severe and painful case of shingles. Even through it all, she stayed strong, and it seemed like she was finally beginning to heal. That’s what makes this loss so incredibly hard.  And then, without warning, she was gone.

Since that moment, everything has felt surreal. No matter how much time we think we have, nothing can prepare you for the loss of someone who means everything to you.

If you truly knew my mom, you knew her strength. You knew her kindness. She had the most giving heart and a spirit that carried others through their hardest moments. She was full of love, full of life, and always put others before herself. Losing her so suddenly has left a space in my heart that can never be filled.

This page is a small way for me to honor her beautiful life. It’s a place where we can come together to share videos, photos, and memories of the love she gave so freely. I will continue to share moments that reflect who she was—so that her warmth, her laughter, and her love will live on through all of us.

Mahal na mahal kita, Mom. Salamat sa lahat ng ibinigay mo sa akin, sa pagmamahal na ipinakita mo, at sa taong tinulungan mo akong maging. Dadalhin kita sa puso ko magpakailanman.  (I love you, Mom. Thank you for everything you gave me, for the love you showed me, and for the person you helped me become. I will carry you with me always).

Forever in my heart—your son,

Kristoffer.
